TUSTIN vs. BREA!

ONE OF THE GREAT HIGH SCHOOL RIVALRIES OF ALL TIME!!!

Tustin Tiller Football

Who could forget one of the fiercest rivalries in high school sports...whether it was football, basketball or any other sport.  The bad blood between Tustin and Brea ran so deep that it often resulted in Tustin High students using some very descriptive adjectives while discussing their adversaries!!  Note on the program cover above what appears to be the hand-written, final score of that game.  If so, it wasn't the outcome we wanted!

Football Program With Scores

It's interesting to reflect on the scores and try and recall some of the incidents that took place during or shortly after those games.  Also, it was fun to know that, overall, we won more than we lost...at least to that date!

Tustin Tiller Boosters Were Great

The familiar names of these businesses and their owners can be found along with others in this 1961 football program.  This is indicative of the great community support we enjoyed in Tustin!!

On the way to the big ball game

Rivalries like this one drew us together as a school.  In fact, some of us will remember that, occasionally, the contact with Brea students in the parking lots and local "hang-outs" after the games was more aggressive and painful than what the football players experienced during the game!

Now, take a few minutes to look over the Memories III... page and indulge in a little more nostalgia.  Be sure you don't miss the juke box link at the bottom that will take you to some great "oldies" music.
